Isabella was born and raised in Orcutt CA. Horses have been a part of her life from the time she was 2 years old. She started taking riding lessons and received a Shetland pony for her third birthday. She has been involved with horses ever since. When Isabella was 12 years old, she saved up and purchased a 19 year old Arabian Mare from her trainer, Katy Camacho. Once she had a horse of her own, her involvement increased greatly and she began giving friends and family rides on her beloved horse, Tahira Mar. Although her family was and is not actively involved in horses, they have supported Isabella’s deep passion to ride, train, and be involved with horses. Over the years Isabella has ridden English and Western. She has shown English in Hunter, Jumpers, Three-Day Eventing, and Dressage. Isabella’s first horse, Tahira, had a torn ligament in her shoulder, which limited her ability, this inspired Isabella to work with horses that had rehabilitation needs. Isabella quickly out grew Tahira’s abilities and, at the age of 13, Isabella adopted her first rehabilitation project, Lucy. Isabella enjoys rehabilitating horses and bringing out their full potential.

Isabella began showing English in 2003. Isabella then started giving lessons consistently in 2004 to riders of all ages. In 2004 she began showing Hunter/Jumpers and was successful for several years on the Central Coast Show Circuit. In 2006 Isabella started Eventing and fell in love with the sport. For the next few years she rode daily and showed as much as she could. In 2010 Isabella had an injury that limited the time she could spend in the saddle, so she became more involved in giving lessons. During this time, her passion to rehabilitate horses on the ground and under-saddle was deepened. Horses have always been a large part of Isabella’s life and they continue to be one of her greatest joys.

In 2016 Isabella married Joseph Malfo whom supports her passion of horses and teaching riders of all levels. Joe was also born and raised in Orcutt, CA and had horses growing up. Together they enjoy taking care of their horses.
